It's another night not to be missed. Quality tunes and performance. The return of rock heroes S*M*A*S*H to London + an appearance by rising punktastic outfit Rhesus + the frantic aural and visual spectacle of Optimist Club Yer treated to an acoustic set and the significant words of Nebraska. who are taking the local kick ass vibe around the UK from October to November on the Rocklands Rounded Tour - plus special guest DJs and fellow Pop Of The Tops faves, the mighty Crash Convention fresh from launching Dirty Sounds club in Mayfair, in a legendary fashion! all on one bill!!!. Here! and so you know there was no kidding about arriving early, the Optimist Club live experience in words... "Optimist Club crunch into action. They resemble a black hole of a band which has managed to suck in Fugazi, The Cardiacs and Ikara Colt and mash them all up into a wild post punk pot puree. Absolutely demented at times and an absolute battering ram of a band at others. The singer looks like a 1970's Mark E Smith - a happy one. His energy and enthusiasm for getting right in your face but certainly not up your nose are unrelenting as the band launch into barrage after barrage of the most full on guitar frenzied, dirty, psychedelic, speed induced, racket you may ever hear. "They sound like they should come from New York" someone mutters to me (?), they come from Harrow I think, I reply?"
