THE SUBWAYS have just returned from Reading and Leeds festivals, having earned themselves a spot on the Carling stage at each festival. And that’s not all; they will be recording their live Radio 1 session this week at Maida Vale studios with Zane Lowe, to promote their first single "1am". The band will record four live tracks: 1am, I Want To Hear What You Have Got To Say, With You, R+R Queen. Their interview with Zane will also air with the live tracks in two weeks. Their upcoming single, "1am", has been completed! Tracks included are: 1) 1am, 2) I Want To Hear What You Have Got To Say, 3) You Got Me. The single will be released in September on 7" format with Transgressive Records. You can pre-order a copy at www.transgressiverecords.co.uk. There will be a number of launch parties to celebrate the release! One such launch party will be held at The Doctors Tonic on Saturday 18th September. The band will play a short set and will feature DJ sessions from WhiteTrash and Radio S*M*A*S*H. And if you like glossy photos then check out October’s issue of UK Vogue magazine for "Subways in a bath" photos (I certainly will… hehe…).
