STRETCH PRINCESS - James Wright: We've only played this song twice now. It's another one of those great songs which stems from Jo's own personal emotional feelings. She wrote "Comet" only about three months ago [ May 1999], and I remember she brought the lyrics over on a scrap of paper which is now stuck to her fridge. I think one of the nicest things about Jo's lyrics is that everyone can get their own emotional state involved in the song without it being too specific.

I saw them play south street seaport yesterday [16 Jul 99]... naturally it was an excellent time... they played a new song called Comets... I'm convinced that James' real father is Elvis... James cut his hair and its looking fabulous... very young elvis....i wanted him to sing jailhouse rock and shake his hips but i dont think he would have obliged :} hehe it was very very hot and humid, i was dying but it was a really cool setting.... right on the pier, boats around, brooklyn bridge.... nice crowd .... good time for the kids....
