TRACY'S JOURNAL
submitted by tracy b on 9/15/2000
It's Sept 15,2000. I would love to know what people think of the new Radiohead album. I got to listen to it early. I think you can hear it on their site. I have my own opinions, but I don't want to tarnish yours. Feel free to write your opinions in the message board. Anyway, friends I have a song in a movie with Kevin Spacey called 'Pay It Forward'. It's coming out this fall. Should be cool if Kevin Spacey is in it. Also, there's a new video game coming out soon that goes along with the Jim Carrey adaptation of 'The Grinch'. I recorded a version of 'You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch' for the video game. Artists appearing on the recording are Steve Slingeneyer from my band, lovely and talented Jo Lloyd from the band Stretch Princess, and producer/keyboardist extraordinare Andrew Sherman. I finally finished my Stretch Princess fanpage, called Crunch Time! I hope you all like it. I know its not much, but I think it looks good and is a nice tribute to our favorite band. Please check it out and tell me what you think. I would post the url on the official site but the link seems to be broken, and no one responds to the webmasters email.

Also, I finally got the 12 track Stretch Princess CD (more info on my site) but I have the MP3 of the bonus track if anyone wants it. Its a remix of Free. I also have MP3s of the Bob Clearmountain remix of Sorry as well as an acoustic Sorry. I dont know how to put MP3s up on the net, so if you want any of these MP3s just ask me.

    Stretch Princess
James Wright, the talented guitarist for Stretch Princess, entertained questions ranging from their tour with Third Eye Blind to New York restaurants during an online chat with fans. Find out the scoop on their inclusion on the Teaching Mrs. Tingle soundtrack, unreleased tracks, and more!
    Read the transcript now!

    Excerpt
    Danielle: Who are your influences?
STRETCH PRINCESS - James Wright: In this bizarre format of me slowly typing my answers back to you, my initial response would've been something flippant and stupid like alcohol. But I'm not going to because collectively, the band is much more mature than that. Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones - really just a whole host of really good songwriters. On the whole, we're not into bands that fit into one particular style or genre. We like people who write good tunes. Currently, we listen to anything we can get our hands on. Dave has a really wide musical taste. Jo's current favorite is Limp Bizkit, who she just went to see in concert. We all listen to different things, and the result that comes out of it is completely unique and all its own.

Hello, sorry for the lack of update. I've been busy working on my Morrissey website (with hilariously working url, http://morrissey.islonely.com) and just occupied. This webpage is pretty much inactive - unless Stretch Princess does something, or you guys email me contribution or news. No matter how trivia or insignificant, if it's of or relating to Stretch Princess, I'd love post it on the website. Again, deep apology for the lack of updates.

Check out Generation Factor. Heather is a really cool chick, go see it.

Download Lush - Ciao! on mp3. You will need a zip utility.

If you like Radiohead, you might want to stop by The Perfect Song Facsimile. And download three Radiohead jam sessions. Listen to Thom as he tries to sing along with the drum beat. Listen as Jonny is fooling around with his keyboard. Amazing !

Also, I'm massively interested in the band Belle and Sebastian. If you haven't heard of them - where have you been ? Anyroad, Stuart David, who left Belle and Sebastian, is working and touring full-time with his new band, Looper. Looper will probably be stopping by your home town pretty soon.
