Stretch Princess: Fun With Humans
A Review By: Nicholas Valentine
In an era where Boy Bands and Pop Stars rule the airwaves a lot of people tend to forget about the “real” musicians. Stretch Princess is no exception. This London-bred, New York based band released its first album in August of 1998 and toured with such groups as Eve 6 and Third Eye Blind. In the time of their existence they have been featured in various soundtracks to an assortment of movies and television shows including “She’s All That”, “Jack & Jill”, “Teaching Mrs. Tingle”, and “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” as an example.
Their newest album; “Fun with Humans”, was released in August of 2002 and is filled with a wonderful array of songs that express a very personal side of music that lacks in a lot of the other groups that top the charts at the moment. These very melancholy lyrics are surrounded by a light-hearted, soda-pop feel. With such songs like “Freakshow” and “Breakfast for Champions”, we get the emotions that frame the heartache of ending long-term relationships, with an up-beat sound to contrast them.
“Fun with Humans” is a great album packed with remarkable songs dealing with relationships and life itself. That is why Stretch Princess is my pick of the week.

Can you believe it's already 2003?
My New Year's Resolutions include not drinking soda (I'm already on day 8 of not drinking). I've been such a cola junkie, it's not even funny.
I'm also going to stop buying so many dvds. Currently I have about 350 DVDs.
I actually have more than that, but a few I have are out on loan.

Let your every thought bury me by signing my guestbook.
