10 Oct 98 - WBMX Show, Boston, MA

Chrissy reports:

I got wacky once more and went on yet another adventure to see Stretch Princess play. Left Philly last night...took a bus to NYC....my friend Steve picked me up there, then headed to his house in CT....woke up at like 10am Saturday morning and left for Boston. Very cold, rainy, dismal,....yet still, ever so fun :) I love hopping in the car with my friends and just going off with no clue where you're really heading, we only knew "Boston's City Hall Plaza" =) wooohoo, luckily we found it just in time and parking was right across the street. Soon as we got there, around 3:30, stretch were about to play.... it was kinda weird, the event was free but only people who won tix could get close to the stage, everyone else were baracaded back....never seen so much security for such a show. anyhow, I was totally amazed that Dave saw me standing in the crowd when he was stage...and he smiled at me, then Jo looked and waved and I could see her mouth something like "no horns?" ...i think ;) while pointing to her head.... (i didnt bring my light up horns like i usually do because my batteries died and just didnt have time to buy new ones)

anyhow, they got up and started to rock...they played:

Sugar
Universe
Lost On Me
Shoes
Oooh!
Sorry
Twisted
Free
they didnt hop around as much cos you could tell the stage was probably really slippery.... after they were off .... i waited a bit wandering around, then decided to hang near the "backstage" fenced off area to see if they were leaving.... sure enough i saw them way in the back packing up and ready to head out.... they had to walk past me so i got to briefly say hiya and sorta talk to them.... James said it was really really really dangerous on stage because of the rain...then asked me how they sounded .... (of course they sound great every time) then they said they had to catch a flight to CA....and were sorry they couldnt chat longer.... so that was it.

twas fun.... i dig going to different cities to see bands play.... even if it is only 30 minutes of music.... its still worth it..... a litte rain never hurt anyone :)
