[ The it Zine ]
From The it Zine issue one (May 1996)
written by vu Who is Andy and why is he so important? Andy was born in Manchester on 4 June 1970. He loves the La's and the Smiths. When Sleeper first formed, Andy joined as the drummer. He then got to sing on a b-side called "Bank" and eventually started going out with Louise (after she broke up with Jon or perhaps... hmmmm). After that, you started seeing Andy in various magazines, hanging out with Louise, like at the Q Awards. He started co-writing songs with Louise... About half the new album is co-written by him!!! Whatever happened to the great guitar from Jon??? He was brilliant, and I wish he'd written at least two or three songs off The it Girl. As my friend, Mark, theorizes, the whole It Girl album is about Andy! Anyway, will the real Andy please stand up? As you have it, Andy's last name has been misspelled many times. Here is a couple of misspellings and where they were printed from, yeah! So, how the freak do you spell Andy's last name??
McLure (Gorgeous fanzine) McClure (Delicious US promo) MacLure (Melody Maker 7/95) So what is in the future for Andy? Perhaps a singing career? He co-sang a song on KROQ (LA's so-called world famous modern radio station) called "Going down on the Dogs." Well whatever Andy decides to do in the future, it's certainly going to be bright.
