JLA / AVENGERS - SIGNED & REMARKED (DF)
(Oct 2004)

Just a note: The JLA/Avengers HC editions offered by The Shopping Channel
not only have the entire creative team's signatures, but ALSO feature Batman
head sketches by George. So they are signed by all the guilty parties:
Busiek, Perez and Smith.

There's some info on the DF JLA/Avengers HC at Diamond.
I assume that's only a part of the image; the Batman sketch shown on
The Shopping Channel had the other side of his face too.

Dynamic Forces' DF JLA/Avengers Collectors Edition HC SGN (APR042640, $199.95) was solicited as coming with a Superman head sketch by George Pérez. Instead, Pérez provided DF with head sketches of Batman for this edition. Each head sketch -- such as the one pictured here -- is a full page in size.

When George was in Toronto for the con, he made an appearance on The
Shopping Channel (along with Nick Barrucci from Dynamic Forces) to promote
the JLA/Avengers Collector's Edition Hardcover. He mentioned that the
version being offered would not only have the entire creative team's
signature, but would feature a Batman head sketch by him within the
Compendium. Sure enough, they had a copy of the Compendium on display, and
showed off the Batman sketch that George had done for it. George said each
sketch would obviously be a little different, but they would all be of
Batman, what with the character being very popular and there being
excitement about the upcoming Batman movie starring Christian Bale.
I'm guessing that the signed and remarked JLA/Avengers HC that's being
offered at the Dynamic Forces site is the version with
George's Batman sketch. Then again... they still list Perez elsewhere on the
DF site as having inked their alternate cover to Avengers Infinity #1, when
he did not, so who knows?
