For the second series to what was a very popular book, the action is almost non-stop, and hardly takes the time to slow down. All of the attributes that define the title characters are displayed here with flawless execution- not only do we see a bit of the classic iterations of Batman and Green Lantern, but there are some modern elements included that refine them as well. Even if this comes off as a good debut issue, it jumps from one act to another at a frenetic pace, so what I had said before serves to move the story forward, but it ends up having throwing a villain like Roulette into the mix with very little to do with the main plot; even if she was part of the catalyst of the story.
