CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS: ABSOLUTE EDITION (Nov 2005)
TODAY'S VIEWS

(excerpt)

The thing that makes it even more special, however, is the 96 page extra book they've included (the cover to that volume is printed to the left). I'm assuming it was Bob Greenberger, my old assistant on the original Crisis and the editor of this version, but he must have kept all the original memos, plots, ideas, etc. that we worked up over a period of several years in the formation of the book. Stuff I had completely forgotten, but it's all here, including the fabled "Can We Kill Supergirl?" memo that then Editor-In-Chief Dick Giordano sent to then publisher Jenette Kahn. I am absolutely thrilled by the book. It's not cheap, essentially $100.00. But it's one of those things I never ever expected to see on any of my books. The extra volume, the size of the entire project and the printing and layout make that steep cost worth while.
