Previewing City of Heroes #1

posted 04-12-2005 11:47 AM by MattBradyTop Cow has provided Newsarama with a ten-page preview of City of Heroes #1, the debut issue of the studio’s tie-in with the popular NCSoft/Cryptic Studios Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game. The issue is due to hit comic shops in early May, as well as be sent to City of Heroes' over 100,000 subscribers, free of charge, making it one of, if not the most widely distributed super-hero comic book in the US market.
The first storyline, “Hard Crash,” is written by Mark Waid, with pencils by David Nakayama penciling, and colors by Sonia Oback. The first issue will have three covers by the likes of Rodolfo Migliari, Dale Keown and George Pérez.
Waid, Nakayama, Rick Basaldua and Sonia Oback will be signing for the release of the book on May 4th, 2005 at the Melrose location of Golden Apple.
