PITTSBURGH COMICON 2005 (22-24 Apr 2005)
The Pittsburgh Comicon, based at the Pittsburgh Expomart in Monroeville, Pennsylvania will welcome a slate of comic book and general entertainment guests to this year's show, the twelfth since its inception.

The April 22-24 convention features such comic book stars as George Pérez, Jimmy Palmiotti, Joe Linsner, Terry Moore, Mark Texeira, Billy Tucci, David Mack, Howard Porter, Ron Frenz, Scott McDaniel, Ron Garney and Sal Buscema.

The convention's annual Make-A-Wish Foundation Art Auction will be Saturday April 23 at 7:00 PM. Some of the items are a painting of 15 characters by Mark Texeira (the con's program book cover), the cover art of Strangers in Paradise #74 by Terry Moore, a New Teen Titans piece by George Perez, and many other items. The con reported that last year's auction raised $26,000 for Make-A-Wish.
