Graphic Novel Scene #1 is currently at the printer. From there it goes to Diamond for shipping. I'll let you know when to expect it , but it should be only a few more weeks.

There is one mistake in the listing you saw. It will be 64 pages, not 48, at the same price.
Graphic Novel Scene probably won't have any new information for the hardcore Perez fan. The magazine will be sold in comic book stores, but it will mainly be marketed to libraries. Many libraries are now building graphic novel collections and GNS will serve as a guide in helping them to select books for their collections. I have been a Perez fan from day one and thought he would be a great starting point in helping to steer librarians into ordering quality material for their collections. Issue one is the spotlight for George, but expect to find continuing reviews of Perez collections in future issues.
I would like to ask you, and any of the readers of your site, to go to your local library and request that they carry Graphic Novel Scene. It is a periodic reference for librarians but would be enjoyed by patrons also. Librarians pay attention to patron requests, and the magazine can be ordered through normal library channels.
Thanks for listening. Anything that fans can do to help libraries to build quality graphic novel collections will only help the comics field to bring in new readers.
