Although CrossGen announced its Comics on the Web at the beginning of this month, I finally got around to seeing it.
At the moment, we're currently seeing version 1, but a version 2 is already announced to contain optional low bandwidth and multiple language. To view these comics, you will need Macromedia's Flash (which is already installed on most computers).
It looks like all of George's CROSSGEN CHRONICLES #2-4 are already digitally converted. Reading the online comics is a little weird because (and especially if you're on a modem), it takes a few seconds to download two pages at once. The two page display feature works well whenever you have double-page splash.
Image quality is a little blurry, but I suspect this is because of Macromedia's software. They are resizeable, which is a good thing, and whenever your mouse pointer passes over a text bubble, that bubble grows bigger making it readable (see example below).

Although, I love and embrace the internet, somethings like comic books are better read through printed pages. At the same time, if this will draw more potential comic book fans, I'm all for it. I disagree with those saying how this will stop people from buying the actual printed material, because, in my opinion, they are two very different products.
