Accomplished comics writer & journalist Andy Mangels will use the 2001 Comic-Con International: San Diego to unveil The Perez Archives, a 100-page tribute to master artist George Perez (soon to embark on the upcoming JLA/Avengers crossover, pictured). The book -- a benefit project for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund -- will contain a complete checklist of media featuring Perez's art, plus a selection of convention pages, unpublished projects, and more. Mangels is actively soliciting all Perez fans who have received one of his many personal sketches throughout the years to send him copies of these works for the book. Contributors should send high-quality, 8-1/2"x11" photocopies or stats of the works to Mangels at A.M. Publications, PO Box 3226, Portland, OR 97208-3226.
