Thanks for printing my first list of favorite covers! Here is a follow up on my picks for favorite covers during my second "wave" of collecting, from 1985 to 1989 (my prior list covered comics I'd collected as a kid to my early to mid-'70.
1985-89 was a great time to be reading comics! As before, I've limited my selection to only those comics that I actually purchased new and have in my collection. I've tried not to pick the "usual suspects" issue as first issue and the like).
Wonder Woman #7 (Aug 87) and WW #10 (Nov 87): George Pérez. Thank you , George Pérez, thank you, thank you! Usually you see the cover to #1 reprinted or mentioned, but there were just so many other great covers during his run on WW. His penciling gives such depth to these covers. And they jumped off the shelf at Dave's Comics in Ann Arbor, Mich., where I picked up these comics.
