  • CrossGen's website announced that "painted cover coming soon" for MERIDIAN TP #2 and SIGIL TP #2. Since I didn't order any of these books, I'm looking for cover scans for them (so please send them if you've got them).

According to Mile High Comics, they list the MERIDIAN TP, as "MERIDIAN: GOING TO GROUND TP #2". I'll search around, but most websites and/or stores take ages for them to upload cover scans (that is if they get around to it).

Also, in the latest advertisements for their trade paperbacks, CrossGen showed a sneak peak at Joe Chiodo's cover for SIGIL TP #2 (see scan). The advertisement also listed new cover artists for the other trades:

  • SIGIL TP #2, new pained cover by Joe Chiodo
  • MERIDIAN TP #2, new painted cover by Vincenzo Cucca
  • MYSTIC TP #2, new cover art by Phil Noto
  • SCION TP #2, new cover art by Joe Jusko.

    SIGIL TRADE PAPERBACK #2
Written by Barbara Kesel and Mark Waid, penciled by Kevin Sharpe, Scot Eaton, George Perez, inked by Randy Elliott, Andrew Hennessy, Mike Perkins, colored by Wil Quintana, Laura DePuy.

Reprinting the stories contained in issues #8-14, plus CrossGen Chronicles #4, this trade paperback is the perfect collection for those who like sci-fi. This trade paperback continues the tale of Samandahl Rey and Roiya Sintor, two ex-Planetary Union soldiers who have been drastically changed by recent events. Sam's had a sigil appear on his chest that has given him the ability to morph all inorganic matter. Roiya's "death" separated her from her carbonform body (which resides in stasis in their ship) and transformed her into a holographic form. Currently on the run from the Saurian empire and Sam's personal enemy, the Saurian Prince Tchlusarud (or "Loser," as Sam calls him), Sam, Roiya, Zanniati-the runaway wife of the Sultan Ronolo of Tanipal-and JeMerik Meer, a member of the Sultan's Guardsmen, are headed "anywhere but here." That leads them to Delassia, where they discover Zanni's more than just a trophy wife, and Roiya discovers that there's more to JeMerik Meer than just a roguish smile and good timing. Sam, however, has a bigger problem than his jealousy of Meer: he's attracted the attention of two of the godlike First. One decides that Sam needs a suitable opponent and gives power to a Saurian so he'll have someone to fight! As if Sam needs more: he's already got the Saurians, the Sultan's Guardsmen, and a few of his own team. The enmity between Sam and Loser takes a strange turn, something you'd never expect after reading the issue of Chronicles that dramatizes their first meeting. Also included is a complete cover gallery.
