The Justice League of America has a lavish and rich history that spans decades. Dozens of comic book characters have appeared within the pages of the various Justice League titles and it's almost as if you need a scorecard to keep track of who's who. Well in JLA - Z, that's just what DC has done, provided a comprehensive list and description of the various heroes and villains of the Justice League. Written by former DC Editor Mike McAvennie, this three-part series is the perfect 4 -1 - 1 to the inner workings of the JLA world as well as answering questions about his career in comics.
(excerpt)
THE PULSE: Whose idea was it for the JLA-Z miniseries?
McAVENNIE: I’d say it was mine, though I don’t think my editors, Ivan Cohen and Steve Wacker, would appreciate it, since they came to me with the idea.
THE PULSE: What is JLA-Z?
McAVENNIE: Simply put, it’s a primer of sorts that offers quick, capsule-sized information regarding members past and present, plus JLA allies and enemies. It was conceived to accompany the release of the JLA/AVENGERS miniseries, but it’s a good reference book for JLA fans looking to find out info on a character.
