ART OF MARVEL
(Dec 2004)
|
Got a bare space on your coffee table? IN December, Marvel continues with its series of Art of Marvel hardcovers, with volume 2, a celebration of Marvel’s 65th Anniversary.
We spoke with editor Jeff Youngquist and creative director Tom Marvelli about what’s included in this year’s volume, due out in early December.
Newsarama: First off, why go back to this particular well? Are you looking to make this an annual edition, showcasing some of the best art of that particular year, or is this one different than last year’s in that regard?
Jeff Youngquist: This was always intended as a series. Art of Marvel Vol. 1 showcased the best images of the past few years, while Art Of Marvel Vol. 2 is a celebration of 65 years of Marvel artwork. Art Of Marvel Vol. 3, I'm sure, will be something else entirely.
