"DC Universe: The Stories of Alan Moore"
Sunday, January 08, 2006
written by Drew Sheneman
Alan Moore is considered by many to be the finest writer ever to work in the comics medium. The quirky British creator, who bears a strong resemblance to Rasputin, has spent the last 24 years churning out comic classics such as "The Watchmen," "V For Vendetta" and the Jack the Ripper tale "From Hell." Each one of these books was an original Moore creation, for the most part, using characters conjured up out of his prolific imagination.

"DC Universe: The Stories of Alan Moore" also boasts the work of some fantastic comic artists, such as George Perez, Jim Aparo and the legendary Curt Swan. This 304-page trade paperback also features a new cover by "Killing Joke" artist Brian Bolland. Out Wednesday, "The Stories of Alan Moore" has a cover price of $19.99 and is recommended for mature readers.

Alan Moore en 1 volume !
11/11/2005

DC TO COLLECT EVERY ALAN MOORE DCU STORY IN ONE VOLUME
by Jonah Weiland, Executive Producer

Updated 10/10/05 12:45 PM - A number of questions were raised by members of the CBR Forums regarding this new volume and why it's been solicited two years after a similar volume was released by DC in 2003, "Across the Universe: The DC Universe Stories of Alan Moore." While the two volumes are similar, "Across the Universe" did not include the stories "The Killing Joke" or "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow." A DC Comics spokesperson confirmed for CBR News today that the "Across the Universe" TPB is now out of print and the company has run through their stock of the two prestige format versions of "The Killing Joke" and "Whatever Happened Happened to the Man of Tomorrow." DC chose to wait until all those items were sold out before making everything available in this new volume.
